You will likely start your tour by the parking lot at the former Bureau of Mines steps. Coldwater Spring has been home to a diversity of people and activities through the centuries.
The ore bins are a feature of the Bureau of Mines campus which was located here at Coldwater Spring for 50 years.
For a century, Coldwater Spring was the main drinking water source for the soldiers at Fort Snelling. The springhouse, built in 1820, is an iconic landmark to explore.
Nature and city collide at Coldwater Spring. Coyote, deer, mink, monarchs, bluebirds, eagles and more have been spotted in this patch of restored wilderness.
Look out over the prairie for a spectacular view of Coldwater Spring. In the winter months, you can see all the way to Fort Snelling.
